Political Science

The Department of Political Science of Tamulpur Degree College was established in the year 1995. Since the inception of the department the faculties of the Department of Political Science have been rendering services for all round development of the students particularly to make them good citizen of the country and world citizen as well. At present the department has three faculties. The department strives to impact knowledge on politics, society, cultures and as well as about the rights and duties of the citizens as a while. The department seeks to inculcate a spirit of nation building as well as consolidation of democratic values amongst the young minds. The department is determined to build up a health society by overcoming the paradoxes of caste creed, community, nationality, gender, untouchability etc. and creating congenial atmosphere for humanity. The department is considering on the department syllabus followed by regular class maintenance through systematic discussion, analytical perspective and interaction. Political Science helps to prepare and make the students fully aware and conscious in regard to regional, national and global politics and international relations.
